Our Mission

Hadoya'no Uma A Hebeyo'no (H.U.A.H.) is a charitable organization focused on making a positive impact in our community.

We provide educational opportunities for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, celebrating Indigenous culture through workshops and events led by cultural experts.

H.U.A.H. also works to raise awareness and understanding of Indigenous communities by amplifying their voices, helping to reduce prejudice and discrimination.

We’re committed to empowering Indigenous youth, offering programs that inspire pride and prevent community challenges.

Our Team

Dr. Darlene Flores, Adahi'abo (Medicine Hand) and Chiropractic Physician, is a dedicated mother of three and a proud citizen of the Taino Higuayagua Caribbean Tribe. Born to Borikua parents and raised in the Metro area of Massachusetts, she carries forward a rich legacy of traditional healing, influenced by her great grandmother, Irene, a revered curandera, midwife, and santiaguera.

Dr. Darlene Flores

Founder - Educator- Veteran

Seasoned Paralegal with over 25 years of experience in the law practice industry. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, who proudly embrace my strong Taino ancestry, which enriches my perspective in both personal and professional realms. My expertise encompasses a wide range of general corporate matters, including domestic and foreign entity.

Brian Allen

Clerk - Paralegal

A Bronx Native who graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelors in Sociology, a minor in Psychology. She later achieved her Masters in Social Work and education. Irene has an astonishing 38 years as a school counselor. She believes it is important to provide support and assist the youth in becoming productive members of the community.

Irene Fontanez-Pilon

Director- Social Worker

Mrs. Flores, an educator for almost 20 years, has worked with children of many ages, including infancy, toddlers, Pre-K, and elementary. She is very passionate about learning history, especially hidden history, which has been kept she makes great contributions to her Indigenous community and the world at large, while she is still alive, so that we can leave a cleaner, and more peaceful world for our children.
